Since she can remember, Shelley has always been passionate about interiors, textiles and design. She recalls saving her pennies to buy her first sewing machines at just eight years of age.

With a desire to bring beautiful textiles to Australia, Shelley started selling fabric to designers out of the boot of her car in 1999. From these humble beginnings, she has built Boyd Blue to be a nation-wide industry leader, servicing a niche interior design market with a striking and exclusive product range. 

Inspired by her love of textiles, innate curiosity of the handmade and inspiration from travels across the globe, Shelley is constantly on the hunt for pieces to add to new collections. With a focus on nature, scale, texture and finish, Shelley loves incorporating luxe natural materials like linen, cashmere, mohair, alpaca, stone and bronze into her collections. 

In a world of mass produced and often poor quality goods, Shelley has remained firmly committed to her passion for Australian manufacturing and the preservation of time honoured and revered craftsmanship.

Hailing from Italy, Alessandro started out in sales working in his family business in the leather industry. Since coming to Australia he has worked in high end furniture businesses. He loves working in our beautiful Sydney showroom and finds joy in guiding clients to select the perfect pieces for their projects.

Embracing a personal preference for modern contemporary aesthetics, he subscribes to a "less is more" philosophy in design.

Constance's formal studies in interior design bring invaluable insights to our product development team and clients alike. In her spare time Constance enjoys channeling her creativity into painting and making art.
